Eighty young people from Moldova can get professional training scholarships worth 12,000 lei

Chisinau, 10 September /MOLDPRES/ - Young people from socially vulnerable environments of Moldova can get scholarships for professional training worth 12,000 lei. The files can be submitted till 15 October 2019.
The scholarships are provided to facilitate young people’s access to education in vocational schools of Moldova, as well as to back motivated young people to continue their education, offering them needed financial and information support.
The scholarships will be provided for one academic year and will cover the expenses for meal, accommodation and other needs of the beneficiaries. The scholarships are not provided automatically for the next academic year; yet, their renewal is possible, based on contest, if the pupils getting scholarships have successfully finished the previous school year and if the project’s partner rules to finance him/her for the next year.
The applicants for scholarships must be admitted to the first academic year at vocational schools, colleges or centres of excellence; the average admission mark should not be lower than 7.50 and they should prove participation in academic and extra-curricular activities. Eligible will be candidates coming from low-income families, one-parent families or families with three or more children, young people with disabilities, orphan ones, those who remained without parental care or young people under guardianship.
The project was launched by the University Information Centre; it is organized with the full financial support of a foundation from Moldova and is backed by the Education, Culture and Research Ministry and Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry.
