Seven candidates submitted applications for Prosecutor General ’s position

Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/- Seven candidates have submitted applications for Prosecutor General ’s position. The deadline for submission of documents expired on September 10.

After completing the stage of receiving the files, within five working days, the list of candidates will be published on the website of the General Prosecutor's Office.

Victor Frecăuțanu, chief specialist of the department for protocol, international relations and public of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP), said that within 20 working days from the deadline for applications, the Council will announce the list of candidates who have submitted documents and meet the conditions for contest.

The contest for prosecutor general’s position was announced by CSP on 9 August. The post remained vacant on July 11, after Eduard Harunjen resigned. Currently, the interim function is served by Dumitru Robu.
