38 second level electoral councils set up

Chisinau, 21 May /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today set up 38 second-level electoral councils for snap parliamentary elections of 11 July 2021.

The central electoral administration approved the nominal composition of the electoral councils of the constituencies, made up in line with the legal provisions by members appointed by the courts, district / municipal councils, as well as by parties and other socio-political organizations represented in Parliament.

According to the CEC decision, the members of the electoral bodies will convene in the first meeting no later than 23 May 2021. By 5 June 2021, the polling stations will be set up, and electoral bureaus - by 15 June.

Also, the CEC established for each candidate in snap parliamentary elections of 11 July 2021 a maximum number of 615 trusted persons, distributed in each constituency.
