Moldova thanks Poland for prompt cooperation in energy-related problems

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/ - The head of the Moldovan diplomacy, Nicu Popescu, on 20 October received Ambassador of Poland to Moldova Bartłomiej Zdaniuk. The officials discussed aspects of the bilateral agenda and the Moldovan-Polish partnership, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
In the context, Minister Nicu Popescu thanked the Warsaw authorities for the prompt answer and cooperation in the energy-related problems through the organization of a rich agenda for Minister Andrei Spinu on 18-19 October.
„Poland has firmly supported the process of Moldova’s European integration. I welcomed the appointment of Mr. Adam Eberhardt as special representative of the Polish prime minister for backing the reforms in Moldova,’’ Minister Nicu Popescu said.
At the same time, at the meeting, the official referred to the Moldovan authorities’ priorities within the European agenda.
„We want to advance on new sector of cooperation with the support of EU’s and member states, including Poland, which is to complete the current framework of the Association Agreement and the Free Trade Area: security, resilience, renewable energy and environment,’’ Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu stressed.
The diplomats also discussed the carrying out, on the line of the foreign affairs ministries, of a transfer of experience, in order to strengthen the institutional capacities of Moldova’s diplomatic services.
