As many as 1,787 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 9,264 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,787 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Eight out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 323,469 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 27out of all infection cases are among medical employees (12 physicians, 8 medical assistants, 7 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 2,731 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 251 are in extremely serious condition and 34 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 9,523 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,934 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,450 people have been treated. As many as 302,147 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 40 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 7,386 people have died of coronavirus in all.
