Moldovan tax body organized third issue of Tax Lottery contest

Chisinau, 22 October /MOLDPRES/- Yesterday, the State Tax Service organized the drawing of the winners of the third edition of the Tax Lottery contest, held on 1 July -30 September 2021. Following the draw, the 175 winning transactions were identified, the beneficiaries of which will get prizes worth one thousand MDL each.
"In the third stage, 14,276,936 transactions with bank cards participated, in a total amount of 4,183,438,627 lei, the information being received from licensed commercial banks issuing in the Republic of Moldova," says the Tax Service.
In accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on conducting the contest Tax Lottery, the list of winning transactions, generated by the system on the date of the draw, will be submitted within five days to licensed commercial banks issuing in the Republic of Moldova to identify winners. They will identify and present within five days from the date of receipt of the list of winning transactions, information on the winning transactions, while informing the winners by phone.
Subsequently, the tax authority, within five days from the date of receipt of the information on the winning transactions, will place the corresponding information on the website www.sfs.md. The prizes will be transferred to the winners on card accounts, in lei, within a maximum of ten days after the publication of the list of winners on the official website of the national tax authority.
The winning transactions are selected from the total number of transactions participating in the Tax Lottery contest, randomly, automatically, based on the transactions made with the bank card, through the Random.org platform. The lottery is attended by individuals who have reached the age of 18, holders of a bank card issued by a licensed commercial bank issuing in the Republic of Moldova, who have performed transactions for payment of goods / services according to the rules of the lottery.
The lottery takes place annually throughout the Republic of Moldova, from January 1 to December 31 of this year.
