Chisinau, 22 October /MOLDPRES/- The Official Journal today published the government's decision on approving the list of students and beneficiaries of merit scholarships in the academic year 2021-2022. Scholarships are offered to support the academic performance of young people.
According to the document, the following types of merit scholarships will be awarded, financed from the state budget: Republic Scholarship - 12 scholarships for students of cycle I, cycle II, integrated studies, medical and pharmaceutical education in higher education institutions (1640 lei); Government Scholarship - 30 scholarships for cycle I, cycle II students, integrated studies, medical and pharmaceutical education in higher education institutions (1365 lei); Gaudeamus scholarship - 20 scholarships for students from post-secondary and post-secondary non-tertiary technical vocational education institutions (990 lei).
Also, the Moldovan President's Scholarship will be awarded - 15 scholarships, of which 10 scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students, integrated higher education, medical and pharmaceutical education in higher education institutions (1490 lei) and 5 scholarships for students from post-secondary and non-tertiary post-secondary technical vocational education institutions (1155 lei).
The Government is to submit to the Presidency for promulgation the list of candidates for the Moldovan President Scholarship.
Students and pupils who obtained in the previous year of studies an average of grades in the summer session of not less than 9 (profiles, fields of technical, agricultural, economic, medical, military, law and real study) applied for merit scholarships, and not less than 9.5 (humanistic profiles). Thus, 27 applications were submitted for the Republic Scholarship, 46 - Government Scholarship, 20 -Gaudeamus Scholarship and 23 - President's Scholarship.
