As many as 1,568 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 23 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 8,871 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,568 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Eleven out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 327,094 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 25 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (10 physicians, 7 medical assistants, 8 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 2,719 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 260 are in extremely serious condition and 25 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 9,807 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,752 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,409 people have been treated. As many as 305,068 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 35 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 7,459 people have died of coronavirus in all.
