As many as 906 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 24 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 5,818 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 906 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Six out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 328,000 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 5 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (3 medical assistants, 2 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 2,598 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 248 are in extremely serious condition and 23 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 9,967 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 15,761 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,201 people have been treated. As many as 306,269 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 38 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 7,497 people have died of coronavirus in all.
