Several projects carried out in Straseni with support of Poland

Chisinau, 25 October /MOLDPRES/- Ambassador of Poland to Moldova Bartłomiej Zdaniuk, recently visited Straseni city, where he participated in the inauguration of the mural painting in the Central Park.

The project was initiated by the Polish Institute in Bucharest, in partnership with the National Network for Urban Revitalization in the Republic of Moldova, with the support of the Polish Solidarity Fund PL Foundation in Chisinau. It aims to stimulate creative thinking, improving the image of degraded areas. The work was executed by painters from Poland and Moldova. The event included a gastronomic workshop with Polish specialties, exhibitions of folk craftsmen from Straseni and others.

The ambassador also visited the Ghiocel Kindergarten in the city, where capital roof repair works were carried out on two blocks of the institution. These were carried out under the Urban Revitalization Program, funded by the Ministry of Funds for Regional Development and Policy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.

This summer the Cooperation Agreement was signed between Straseni City Hall and Wegorzewo, Poland, which is "the foundation of multidimensional and mutually beneficial relations for citizens of both communities, in various fields: socio-cultural, education, sports, revitalization urban development, public services, development of joint projects, promotion of traditions and customs, etc. ”.

Based on this agreement, the Service for Emergencies in Straseni benefited from a donation as equipment necessary for the activity process.
