Over 130 restaurants, bars checked by police on weekend

Chisinau, 25 October /MOLDPRES/- Over 130 bars and about 170 recreational areas were checked by law enforcement on the weekend. Following the controls, 25 cases of non-compliance with legal norms were found and 59 reports were made for non-compliance with COVID-19 prophylaxis measures.

According to IGP data, the police checked 548 trade units, 87 commercial markets, 205 CEEC stations. Following the verifications, the employees involved documented 25 cases of non-compliance with legal norms. Among the violations detected by the police were the following: the surplus of people; lack of records of thermometry and sanitation; permission in the room of visitors who did not present their identity data to complete the epidemiological file; lack of anti-COVID-19 vaccination certificates or other documents confirming that people are not infected; only selective verification, by the local representatives, of the anti-COVID-19 vaccination certificates or other documents that would confirm that the visitors are not infected; lack of sanitation register of the place, some waiters wearing the protective mask incorrectly; finding visitors without a protective mask; permission to smoke in forbidden places.

Also, in 110 localities, the police carried out activities to inform the population about the risk of COVID-19 infection. 184 transport units and 5 nightclubs were checked. At the same time, actions were taken to inform and evaluate the measures to prevent COVID-19 infection in the holy places in the territory served, being subject to inspections 1,403 churches and monasteries, in which no violations were found.

Following the verifications, 59 reports were made for non-compliance with the measures of prophylaxis, prevention and / or control of epidemic diseases.

IGP announces that law enforcement will continue to monitor people to prevent massive COVID-19 infection.
