Customs revenues amounted to over 628.3 million lei last week

Chisinau, 25 October /MOLDPRES/- Customs Service revenues to the state budget amounted on October 18-24 to over 628.3 million lei, more by 23.5% compared to the budgetary burden established for this interval. Also, since the beginning of this month, the Customs Service has collected over 1.9 billion lei from the state budget, with a 37.9% increase compared to the revenues for the respective period of 2020.

According to the Customs Service, last week, 13,089 customs declarations were made, and the flow of means of transport constituted 61,920 crossings. The busiest customs posts remain Leuseni and Sculeni, with 15,002 and 11,222 crossings, respectively.

"Regarding the fight against fraud, during the period covered, 201 violations of the customs legislation were found and fines in the amount of over 201 thousand lei were applied. The most frequent violations refer to the exceeding of the term on the territory of the Republic of Moldova of the means of transport with foreign numbers, declared by action ”, the institution indicates.

During the reference period, the officers of the Information Line received 553 requests for information related to the customs activity.
