Chisinau, 25 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Causes (PCCOCS) today informed that it had registered a criminal file on the appointment of a judge, who took over the position, to the office of judge of Moldova’s Constitutional Court (CCM) in April 2021.
According to PCCOCS, prosecutors investigate the usurpation of an official office by the person who took over the position of CCM judge, as well as the usurpation of the state power, which took place through the maintaining and exercising the state power contrary to the Constitution’s provisions, in the interest of an organized criminal group.
The registration of the criminal file by PCCOCS prosecutors was preceded by a notification of MPs Sergiu Litvinenco and Virgiliu Paslariuc, submitted in last April.
