Moldovan kobsa player marks 60th birthday anniversary

Chisinau, 2 November /MOLDPRES/ - A well-known soloist and instrumentalist, kobsa and violin player, Master of Art Victor Botnaru marks his 60th birthday anniversary today.

Victor Botnaru was born in Chisinau in 1961. He graduated from the Gavriil Musicescu state Conservatoire in 1986, cello class.

Victor Botnaru is known as a great master of kobsa, an instrument played by more singers, due to him.

Botnaru set up a band of kobsa players at the Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy, with which he made tours all over the world. The singer gave concerts in more villages of Moldova, as well as in Estonia, Germany, the Netherlands, Romania, Ukraine and other countries.

Victor Botnaru is also consultant in the sector of kobsas’ construction.

Victor Botnaru was awarded the title of Master in Art under presidential decree in 2010.
