Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/ - The candidacy of Fadei Nagacevschi for the office of deputy mayor of the Chisinau city was not voted by the municipal councilors today.
Only 24 councilors backed the candidacy of Nagacevschi, which is not enough for nomination.
This is second attempt of appointing Nagacevschi to the position of deputy mayor in charge of the legal sector. At a 28 October meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), Fadei Nagacevschi got 23 votes.
The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, on 25 October put forward the candidacy of Fadei Nagacevschi for the deputy mayor office, which remained vacant after the dismissal of Victor Chironda.
Under the regulation on the work of Chisinau local public administration, the mayor can appoint a deputy mayor under an instruction, without CMC’s approval.
