Two head managers of Moldovan estate agency detained by prosecutors

Chisinau, 28 August /MOLDPRES/ – There were detained a manager and an administrator of Pro-Imobil company by prosecutors following searches at the headquarters of the economic agent, at the homes of decision – makers and in their cars today.

The information was confirmed for the agency by prosecutor Vitalie Busuioc. The management of the company is suspected of tax evasion in particularly high proportions. The criminal investigation into this case began on 24 August 2016. It was established that around 80 sales agents have been operating unofficially, with an undeclared average salary amounting to about €2,700 per person a month, following the special investigative measures.

Also, it was found that receipts for services rendered were made in foreign currency, being also not reflected in the accounting. Some of the real estate transactions are recorded on the names of the sales agents or other persons acting on the indication and in the interest of the decision-makers within Pro Imobil Grup, and subsequently are alienated, with undeclared revenues.

Thus, it was established that in the recent two years, by failing to include in accounting and financial documents the data on actual revenues and expenditures, Pro Imobil Grup did not pay taxes to the state budget in the amount of around MDL 5 million.

The prosecutors have conducted so far 17 searches at the headquarters of the agent, at the homes of their decision-makers and their cars.

In the framework of the surveys, information systems for work, computers, home appliances and control, memory media containing files, information carriers on which data are stored in video surveillance systems, accounting documents, drafts, stamps, contracts demonstrating fraudulent activity and about MDL 400 thousand, unreflected money in the accountancy.
