Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/ - The simple motion filed by the faction of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) against the policies promoted by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, led by Svetlana Cebotari, has been rejected for lack of quorum.
The motion, submitted on 16 March this year, failed after the MPs of the majority coalition had walked out of the session hall, on grounds of not seeing the point of considering such a document.
“On the last period, our colleagues Socialists have had two tactics: file motions or walk out of the session hall angry,” a lawmaker of the European People’s Party of Moldova (PPEM), Eugen Carpov, said.
Thus, after the MPs of the Democratic Party and PPEM had left, Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu found out that there were no enough lawmakers, noting that the motion was turned down for the lack of quorum.
The simple motion against the health, labour and social protection minister has been the third one discussed in parliament since early 2018. The first to present a report to the MPs was Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici. Today, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Iurie Leanca will also unveil a report in the parliament’s plenum.
