Moldovan SP thanks for support provided by USAID

Chisinau, 08 May /MOLDPRES/ – Speaker of Parliament, Andrian Candu, has met with Head of the Bureau for Europe and Eurasia of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Brock D. Bierman, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The SP thanked for support provided by USAID at meeting, and announced that currently, it has been working upon Development Strategy Moldova 2030, where main priorities are:

- education and human capital,

- rule of law, institution building and justice,

- infrastructure.

Andrian Candu also announced that there will be invited to parliamentary platform: opposition parties, civil society, experts, institutions involved in holding elections for debate and preparing polls in a democratic and transparent manner.

The parties discussed support of industry, tourism, need to engage and involve communities and people into local development projects, energy security of the Republic of Moldova, other areas of development.

The head of USAID Bureau for Europe and Eurasia, Brock D. Bierman, is a descendant of Soroca, Moldova and has always made a special contribution to supporting democratic reforms and development projects in Moldova.
