Procedure of denouncing corruption acts to be regulated by law in Moldova

Chisinau, 24 May /MOLDPRES/ – The procedure for denunciation of corruption acts and mechanism for protection of detectors will be regulated by law. A draft law in this regard was approved today by the Parliament in its first reading.

According to authors, project aims to establish an effective mechanism for denouncing corruption and protecting integrity of detectors, which will lead to increase of the cases brought to attention of legal institutions.

The new rules set out how to report illegal practices in public and private entities, procedure for their examination, rights of detectors and measures to protect them, obligations of employers, powers of authorities responsible for examining such disclosures and protection of detectors.
