Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Economics and Infrastructure Ministry might soon suggest a new transport code. Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici has made statements to this effect in an interview given exclusively to MOLDPRES.
Gaburici said that it was much job to do in this sector and a thorough regulation was needed. The minister gave no details on the amendments due to be contained in the new document, noting that the latter was necessary.
“The transport department is a big problem for us. This field takes me much time; we have to make proper order here. We will come up with a new transport code, which will regulate the situation in the sector. I want that, till later this year, we bring more transparency also to the procedure of issuance of transport authorizations and I would like that we persuade carriers to invest more in the comfort of passengers,” Gaburici noted.
The minister also said that an eventual settlement of the situation in the passenger transport sector might be the conclusion of public-private partnerships.
