Chisinau, 12 June /MOLDPRES/ - The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) has announced a public meeting for 15 June, to consider and subject for approval the tariffs for the distribution of electric energy and the regulated prices for the supply of electricity, as well as the tariffs for the public service of supply with water, sewerage and purifying residual waters, provided by the enterprise Apa-Canal Chisinau.
Under ANRE’s draft decision, placed on the Agency’s official webpage, the price for electric energy provided by Gas Natural Fenosa Energy Supply to household consumers is proposed to be cut from 1.99 lei to 1.79 lei for one KW/hour. As for the consumers, whose installations are connected to medium-tension electricity distribution networks (6-10 KV), the prices will be cut from 1.82 lei to 1.60 lei for one KW/hour and from 1.53 lei to 1.34 lei for one KW/hour for the consumers connected to the high-tension distribution networks.
Initially, the cuts were scheduled to be by some bani higher; yet, after public consultations, the draft was amended. It is also mentioned that the decision will enter into force on the date of publication and not as of 1 July, as it has been earlier planned.
The Gas Natural Fenosa Group in Moldova in late last April submitted to ANRE the requests adjusting the tariffs for the distribution service and the regulated prices for the electric energy supply. According to the draft, the tariffs for household consumers were suggested to be cut by 5.5 per cent, from 1.99 lei for one KW/hour to 187.99 bani.
ANRE also proposes that the regulated prices for electric energy, provided by the company „Furnizarea Energiei Electrice Nord” (Electric Energy Supply North) to household consumers from northern Moldova be cut from 2.12 lei for one KW/hour to 1.91 lei. The prices will be cut from 1.84 lei to 1.66 lei for one KW/hour for the consumers whose installations are connected to medium-tension electricity distribution networks (6-10 KV).
The last adjusting of tariffs for electric energy was made on 17 March 2017, when the tariff for the residents and consumers connected to the medium-tension networks were increased.
The Apa-Canal Chisinau joint stock company asks for a 13.5-per cent increase in the tariff for the supply of water and sewerage services to household consumers, from 9.68 to 10.71 lei for one cubic metre of water. Thus, according to the proposal made, the average tariff for the drinking water and sewerage supply services will be by 1.44 lei higher than the one approved by ANRE in 2017.
