Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/ – By the end of 2018, there will be built waterpipe supply and sewage systems in Cotul Morii village, in Hancesti district. The announcement was made today by Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), Vladimir Cebotari, at the end of weekly session of the party.

According to the cited source, Government has allocated MDL 26 million for it. "We know very well the problem in Cotul Morii, a problem that once brought political dividends, but it has not been solved, unfortunately, today people in this locality receive daily water only by transport provided by mayor's office. They also reported that in Soldanesti people buy water daily, paying MDL 5 for a pail," said Cebotari.

He specified that there are no aqueducts and several settlements in Edinet, Drochia, Glodeni districts, but also in Straseni, Soroca, Cantemir, Rezina, Calarasi and Hancesti districts. "We want people to enjoy water and civilised living conditions in every locality in our country. It is a very important issue for citizens and it needs to be resolved," said Cebotari.

Also today the PDM leadership has announced that it will be reassessed the water security strategy for 2014 – 2028 of the Government and it will be drawn up a calendar plan so that in upcoming 3 – 5 years, depending on the problem severity of each locality, they will be provided with water and sewage. The project launched by PDM is to be of similar amplitude as modernisation of infrastructure project "Drumuri bune pentru Moldova" (Good roads for Moldova).
