Chisinau, 17 July /MOLDPRES/ - The single window works, yet not in a way it should do this and some employees have an improper behaviour towards citizens. The leader of Moldova’s Democratic Party (PDM), Vlad Plahotniuc, made statements to this effect at the end of a PDM weekly meeting today.
According to Plahotniuc, the single window was set up to help people process their documents in a single place, in a quite short period, without people having to run from one institution to another; nevertheless, some civil servants do not fulfill their duties properly.
“The single window works; yet, we have signaled cases when some employees working at the window have an inadequate behavior towards citizens. In many places, people are waiting in huge queues to be served. Certainly, there are also problems with the working schedule not quote suitable for citizens,” Plahotniuc said.
The Democrats’ leader noted that he demanded that the leadership of the Public Services Agency removes these drawbacks as soon as possible. “Additionally, I have demanded that the Agency’s management works out a questionnaire for assessing the services provided, due to be filled in by citizens upon exiting the single window, so that we also know the real situation and how to act in continuation,” Plahotniuc added.
The Public Services Agency has become functional in late last April, after it had assimilated the powers of the State Registration Chamber, Licencing Chamber, Cadastru (Cadastre) State Enterprise and Registrar’s Office.
