Moldovan local authorities, Diaspora's representatives can get grants within DAR 1+3 programme

Chisinau, 08 April /MOLDPRES/ – The Diaspora Relations Office (BRD) has launched today the call for grants under the Diaspora Programme Home: DAR 1+3. The files can be submitted by 11 May 2019.

The programme can apply the local public authorities (APL) of level I in common with the Diaspora associations/members, local associations (AL), initiative groups of citizens residing abroad or returned, development partners (PD)/donors.

Funding of the projects under the Programme will be based on the 1+3 formula, with the following partners: Diaspora, government of Moldova (GM), APL and PD/donors.

Under the programme, there are eligible projects within infrastructure, environmental protection, economy, energy efficiency, culture, education and social protection.

The project winners will be selected according to their projects' relevance, feasibility, sustainability, socio – economic impact and Diaspora involvement.

According to a government press release, the objectives of this programme include stimulating the development of localities in Moldova by attracting human and financial capital from the Diaspora, keeping the connection between the citizens who left and localities of origin, channelling remittances, and social – economic development of rural areas in Moldova.
