Chisinau, 11 April /MOLDPRES/ - The works of construction of the Chisinau Arena, which started in last autumn, have been carried out at a level of 50 per cent, according to Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici, who gave an interview exclusively to MOLDPRES.
Gaburici said that the complex was to be opened for use on 14 October 2019, one year after the works started.
„We got involved also in terms of acts, authorizations, so that we can do the work quickly. It was a challenge for all those involved to carry out the works on a short period, quickly, as well as at high level of quality. Quality is the most important,” the minister noted.
The works are carried out by a company from Turkey and under the contract of public-private partnership, the money invested by the company will be returned in half-year installments, during 12 years after the beginning of the construction.
Chiril Gaburici also said that a webpage, www.chisinauarena.md, had also been launched, where citizens can see online how the works on construction of Chisinau Arena are carried out.
The foundation stone of the Chisinau Arena multifunctional complex was laid in October 2018. Placed nearby the Stauceni settlement, with a total area of 100,000 square metres, the complex will comprise the multipurpose arena, Aqua Park, a tennis club, leisure and parking places. The multipurpose arena will be able to host about 5,000 visitors, depending on the activities carried out.
