Moldovan parliament speaker meets vice premier of China

Chisinau, 10 September /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grecianii today had a meeting with Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Hu Chunhua, within the eighth issue of the Eurasian Economic Forum, held in the Xi'an city, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The discussions were focused on identifying subjects of common interest, due to be consolidated and developed in the near future. In particular, the officials tackled business missions and participation in bilateral business forums, developing commercial ties, attraction of potential investors and promotion of exports.
Zinaida Greceanii invited the Chinese side to consider possibility of opening an industrial park in Moldova, provide to producers of wines and agro-food goods opportunities to promote Moldovan products on the Chinese market, invest in the implementation of investment and infrastructure projects, social projects and tourism promotion ones.
The speaker thanked the Chinese authorities for the opening of the two Trade Houses of Moldova in China. At the same time, Grecianii asked for support for the promotion of Moldovan goods on the international market, especially of fruits, vegetables and wine products through big commercial networks.
In the context, the vice premier of China’s State Council appreciated the quality of Moldovan wines and cognacs and encouraged producers to promote the products as intensely as possible at the current Trade Houses.
At the same time, Zinaida Greceanii voiced wish for the presence of also Moldovan goods at the next issue of the Eurasian Economic Forum.
Other topics discussed were focused on the advancement and resumption of the negotiations on the free trade agreement, agreement on free movement, as well as the need to boost the work of the Moldovan-Chinese inter-governmental commission.
The speaker thanked the Chinese authorities for invitation to take part in the eighth issue of the Eurasian Economic Forum and invited the vice premier of China’s State Council to pay a visit to Moldova.
Parliament Speaker Zinaida Grecianii, at the head of a parliamentary delegation, pays a working visit to China. The delegation is made up of the head of the Moldova – China parliamentary friendship group, deputy head of the commission for foreign policy and European integration Vlad Batrincea, head of the commission for national security, defence and public order, Chiril Motpan, deputy head of the commission for social protection, health and family, Vladimir Odnostalco, deputy head of the commission for agriculture and food industry, Vladimir Bolea and the parliament’s secretary general, Adrian Albu.
