Moldovan parliament speaker meets President of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly

Chisinau, 21 October /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has had a meeting with President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) Margareta Cederfelt, during his visit to Greece, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The discussions were focused on priority subjects on the agenda of cooperation between Moldova’s parliament and OSCE.
The officials exchanged opinions on the Transnistrian settlement process and namely the ensuring of the fundamental human rights and freedoms on the left bank of Dniester, including the right to free movement to and from the Transnistrian region.
The sides also discussed the pandemic situation. Igor Grosu confirmed the Moldovan authorities’ openness to further provide support, vaccines and equipment, in order to back the efforts of combating the pandemic on the left bank of Dniester.
The officials reiterated the determination to find peaceful ways for the getting closer of the two banks. ‘’The residents from the left bank of Dniester are citizens of Moldova, who must enjoy the same rights,’’ the parliament speaker stressed.
